業務内容

  • 募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明

    We study the control of environmental contaminants and greenhouse gas emissions in soil and water environments of urban and rural areas. Our division is engaged in international collaborative research on environmental issues occurring in Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam. In terms of research methods, we conduct stable isotope measurement and microbial function and community analysis using molecular biological techniques, in addition to conventional soil and water quality analysis and numerical model simulation. We seek a researcher with knowledge and experience in environmental engineering or soil science, ideally with the ability to lead the study of functions of environmental microorganisms.

    Additionally, the successful applicant is expected to conduct education and research supervision or support for students in both Japanese and English.

    - Education in the Faculty of Engineering: The successful applicant is expected to deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses (including specialized fundamental courses) such as "Environmental Microbiology,"" Experimental Course of Environmental Soil Science," and "SDGs Field Environmental Science Overseas Short-Term Training," as well as supervision or assistance in special research。

    Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~

    Annual Salary : Professor 8 million yen ~
    Annual Salary : Associate Professor 6 million yen ~
    Annual Salary : Lecturer, Assistant Professor 5 million yen ~
    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Professor 8,102,000-9,650,000 yen
    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Associate Professor 6,758,000-7,980,000 yen
    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Lecturer 5,852,000-7,426,000 yen
    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Assistant Professor 5,556,000-6,498,000yen, *Only for a person with PhD
    An annual salary system is applied. The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
    The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1), and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
    As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

勤務時間

    Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    In the case of an Assistant Professor, the term of appointment is five years. Tenure screening is conducted six months before the expiration date. If the screening results meet the attached evaluation criteria, the person will be hired as an academic staff member (until the retirement age) from the day after the tenure track expiration date.
