Based on the MEXT initiative, “Support Program for Creating Social Impact through the Internationalization of Universities,” the Faculty of Foreign Studies invites applications for a specially appointed faculty position responsible for multicultural collaborative learning implemented under this initiative.
仕事内容・職務内容
1. To teach courses related to multicultural collaborative learning in the Faculty of Foreign Studies, including foreign language courses (English) and specialized courses in international cooperation and regional cooperation.
2. To coordinate the International Cooperation and Regional Cooperation Program and to engage in curriculum development for multicultural collaborative learning.

Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 6 million yen
Compensation will be determined in accordance with the Kansai University Salary Regulations for Specially Appointed Educational Staff. The salary amounts indicated are model figures and are not guaranteed.

Overtime and other explanations :
Each class period is 90 minutes in length. The standard teaching load for specially appointed faculty at the undergraduate level is approximately six class periods per week.
In addition, faculty members may be required to undertake duties related to faculty administration, as well as other responsibilities that may arise outside of scheduled class hours.

Applicants must satisfy all of the following conditions (1)–(6):
(1)Hold a doctoral degree in International Development or a closely related field (degree and field of specialization).
(2)Have experience teaching subjects related to International Development in English at the university level (teaching experience).
(3)Demonstrate a high level of English proficiency sufficient to conduct multicultural collaborative learning courses in the Faculty of Foreign Studies, including foreign language courses (English) and courses related to international cooperation and regional cooperation, in English.
(4)If the applicant’s native language is not Japanese, possess sufficient Japanese language proficiency to understand and respond to basic oral communication necessary for internal administrative duties and student support.
(5)Practical experience in international programs (such as overseas training programs or study abroad programs) is desirable.
(6)Be able to reside in a location within commuting distance of the Osaka area after appointment.

選考内容
Document screening and interview selection
Following the document screening, shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second round of selection, which will consist of an interview including a mock lecture.
The interview is scheduled to be held on September 7th at Kansai University’s Senriyama Campus.
結果通知方法
Regardless of the outcome, applicants will be notified of the results of the document screening by email in late July.
Final candidates will be required to submit official documents certifying their academic background, such as undergraduate degree certificates, graduate school completion certificates, and master’s and doctoral degree certificates.
Travel expenses incurred for the interview process will be the responsibility of the applicant.
