[Research Field]
The High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory was very recently started in September 2018. We are experimentally studying sub-atomic nuclei with strangeness in order to understand comprehensively the hadronic interaction. It is essential also to understand the building block of the matter as well as the inner structure of neutron stars. We are leading several projects at international heavy ion accelerator facilities such as GSI/FAIR in Germany and at HIAF which is the next-generation heavy ion accelerator complex in China. Postdoctoral Researcher is defined as those with a doctoral degree of 5 years or less.

Job description:
Successful candidates are expected to play a leading role in our experimental strangeness nuclear physics projects at GSI/FAIR in Germany and at HIAF in China. They are also expected to work on the development of new detectors and analysis method for these projects.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in a field related to nuclear, hadron and high-energy physics. Those expected to have a Ph.D. (e.g. Ph. D student) before the day of arrival at the post can also be applicants. Applicants are expected to have pioneering/challenging sprits for building up new and international projects. Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to conduct their researches cooperatively in international environments. In addition, Applicants must be comfortable with English for scientific discussion (Japanese language skills are not mandatory).
