The Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) views the functions of molecules, cells, and organs that support all life stages of organisms as a dynamic system, and aims to elucidate developmental, growth and aging phenomena as well as apply their findings to develop regenerative medicine and diagnostics, thereby contributing to the extension of healthy life expectancies.

The Laboratory for Retinal Regeneration is recruiting research employees to carry out a new theme. The research overview of the laboratory is shown below.

In our laboratory, we are aiming to pioneer future retinal regeneration technologies in the dish for patient transplant and in-vivo for personalized new treatments and care. Our reprogramming team is currently developing several strategies to overcome vision loss worldwide for millions of people.

Technical Staff: Provide technical support to the laboratory which they belong to.

Job Description:
We are now recruiting to expand our cell reprogramming team. Experience in cell reprogramming is not required and can be learned along the way. Our work will require various molecular biology techniques, animal handling, tissue sampling/processing, immunohistology, and extensive data processing. An ideal candidate would be a fast-learner and well-organized person with some lab experience in the previously mentioned fields. Applicants with extensive immunohistology and microscopy skills (traditional and confocal), and molecular biology skills will be prioritized, although training will be provided within our group if necessary. The project will involve the integration of numerous lab members that require meetings and collaboration where effective communication skills are necessary. This position will be involved directly with the animal, tissue, and molecular experimental procedures, handling, and preparation. This position will also provide hands-on support for other team members when necessary. English communication skill is required.
