Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The qualified candidate will conduct research on the development of materials or characterization techniques for rechargeable batteries. The research centers on the following themes, designing functional electrolyte solutions to overcome the bottlenecks in Li, Na and Mg batteries, constructing automated robotic experiments “smart-lab” technologies to accelerate the materials discovery, developing novel characterization techniques based on TEM, SEM, NMR, ToF-SIMS applicable to battery materials, etc.
* Research Environment Support up to 10 million yen depending on the research plan at the time of arrival is available.

Overtime and other explanations :
The discretionary labor system for professional work will be applied. It is deemed appropriate for candidates to work 8 hours and 15 minutes per day.

Description
1. Possess a Ph.D. degree or be expected to obtain a Ph.D. by the start date of employment.
2. Be fluent in English for written and oral communication.
3. Demonstrated success in research on rechargeable batteries.
4. Demonstrated success or a willingness to learn in the development of materials or characterization techniques applicable to rechargeable batteries.
5. Must be able to work in a group and as part of a team.
