Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Graduate School of Engineering at The University of Osaka is seeking an Assistant
Professor to engage in educational and research activities in the field of Materials Design
and Process Engineering within the Department of Materials and Energy Science.
The Materials Design and Process Engineering field encompasses education and research
ranging from material design based on numerical simulations such as molecular dynamics,
phase-field methods, discrete element methods, and computational fluid dynamics, as well
as first-principles calculations for predicting material properties and functions. It also
involves the development and structuring of novel materials utilizing various innovative
processes, including additive manufacturing.

・Administrative duties in the Graduate School of Engineering and The University of

(2) Excellent research achievements in the related field/s and ability to supervise graduate students in their research
(3) Aspiration to explore new research fields
(4) Business level or above Japanese language proficiency
