    The Faculty of Law, Toyo University is now inviting applications for a full-time lecturer as detailed below.

    1.Position:Contract Lecturer of Foreign Language (English) One position
    2.Affiliation:Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law
    3.Field of Study:English education
    4.Job Location:Toyo University Hakusan Campus (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo)
    5.Starting Date:April 1, 2026
    6.Courses to Teach:“English” and English-related courses, 8 classes/week
    7.Working Conditions:Undergraduate courses [Daytime ]
    Four days per week between Monday and Saturday(90 min./class)
    Educational affairs and other affairs related to the management of university and faculty organizations.

    Annual Salary : 6 million yen ~ 6 million yen

    (1)Annual salary: 6 million yen (pretax)
    * Commutation allowance will be paid.
    (2)Training allowance: 280,000 yen/year
    (3)Other matters are subject to the contract. Any other matters not specified in the contract should conform to the Toyo University’s work regulations.

    Overtime and other explanations : The above working hours are class hours (1st to 5th period).
    Daily working hours will vary depending on the subjects taught, student guidance, and other duties.

  • Description

    To qualify for consideration, applicants must:
    (1)Hold a Master’s degree or higher (or equivalent) and have graduated from university over six years ago
    (2)Native or equivalent English language proficiency and ability to teach English language to non-native English speakers
    (3)Have adequate Japanese proficiency for day-to-day work at the university if the applicant is not a native speaker of Japanese
    (4)Have academic accomplishments in teaching English and teaching experience of two years or more

    Nontenured - Non-tenure track

    (1)The duration of contract is one year, based on the annual salary system, and is renewable for a period of four years.
    (2)The contract may be renewable for another period of four years if the lecturer shows high teaching performance and is in sound mental/physical conditions, and if the renewal is necessary for class operation.
    (3)However, the contract is not renewable exceeding 10 years in total including the first contract.
