The applicant must have comprehensive understanding and interest in the study of design, and fulfills the following conditions.
1)Design research and practical educational experience outside of Japan.
2)Ph.D. degree or equivalent level is required.
3)Have enthusiasm and qualifications to promote the advancement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
4)Have research that has wide vision of design and a global design network.
5)Promote the international design hub concept by organizing projects in collaboration with society with other universities, companies and governmental institutions, including events, symposiums. As for the projects in collaboration with society, activities are preferred that acheive concrete results and real world impact.
6)Enthusiastic about developing broad design visions of social systems such as social design.
7)Native English speaker or the equivalent level. Conversation level of Japanese.

11.Treatment after recruitment
1) Wages: An annual salary system (introduced on April 1, 2020) will be applied.
The amount of annual salary will be determined based on experience and other factors in accordance with the relevant regulations of the University.
2) Working hours: The hours worked will be considered as 7 hours and 45 minutes under the discretionary work system for specialized work.
3) Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 through January 3)
4) Insurance: unemployment insurance, workers' accident compensation insurance, health insurance, and employees' pension
