We are seeking to recruit a research scientist to work for the Advanced System Development Project for Airplane funded by NEDO.

R&D of Next Generation Electric Propulsion System

[Job details (duties, subject responsible for, etc.)]
We recruit a researcher who can contribute to the R&D for next generation electric propulsion system by the development of REBCO superconducting tapes, such as improvement of performance and the development of sheilding materials. We expect a deep knowledge and good research achievement on fabrication and evaluation of superconducting tapes. Especially, cutting and scribing technologies and necessary kinds of electro-magnetic evaluation technique are important.

Ph.D. degree in a relevant research field or equivalent significant
experiences, skills and achievements are required for the project.

Compensation

Compensation - Base monthly salary is determined commensurate with the candidate's academic background and previous professional carrier under the salary table whose the bottom point is JPY 301,200 (before tax). A monthly salary will include work responsibility allowance, overtime allowance, and commuting allowance in accordance with AIST Salary policy. Seasonal bonuses will be paid twice a year.

Work Hours - Work hours vary depending on working time system (flex-time system, discretionary working time system or standard working time system).

Days-Off and Leave - Official days-off are Sundays, Saturdays, public holidays, New Year holidays (from December 29 to January 3) and the days specified by the President separately. Annual leave is provided in
accordance with AIST Rules of Employment.

Benefits - Enrolled with the mutual aid association of METI that provides Health insurance, Pension, Employment Insurance, Workers'Compensation.

[Selection process (selection method and hiring decision), notification of result]
(1)Docum ent-based screening will be conducted in each research department. Only successful candidates will be notified of the result.
(2) First-stage interview will be scheduled
approximately within a month from application. The location will be specified separately. Candidates traveling more than 100km will be reimbursed for travel expenses. The result will be sent via email to all candidates as soon as possible.
(3) Final- stage interview will be scheduled approximately within half a month to a month from the first-stage interview and held at AIST Tsukuba Center. Candidates traveling more than 100km will be
