Research Scientist
Carries out research and other work in accordance with team research themes. Basically defined as those with a doctoral degree more than 5 years.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Carries out research and other work in accordance with team research themes under the direction of supervisors. Basically defined as those with a doctoral degree of 5 years or less.

*The applicant will be assigned to an appropriate position based on his/her ability, aptitude, etc.

Technical staff I
Provides technical supports independently to implement the lab missions.

Job description:
The candidate will focus on the development of new Bayesian Machine-Learning methods. The candidate will work on problems at the intersection of deep learning, Bayesian inference, optimization, and reinforcement learning.

The candidate is expected to carry out research and publish their findings in top machine-learning conferences. Postdoctoral candidates will additionally help in the management of the group, and supervision of interns and technical staffs. The position is meant to further the careers of early-career researchers who wish to pursue a career in academia.

Qualifications

For Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher
-The candidate already possesses a doctoral degree or is expecting to receive a doctoral degree in machine learning, computer science, statistical science or a related field.
-The candidate must have published their research in machine-learning conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, AIStats, UAI, ICLR, etc.).
Be an expert in one or more of the following areas: Bayesian Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Reinforcement Learning, Active learning, Life-long Learning, and Bayesian Optimization.
-Must be proactive, cooperative, flexible, and able to respond according to the circumstances.
-Must also have good communication skills and be able to cooperate with the relevant personnel within/outside of the laboratory in order to fulfill his/her tasks.

For Technical Staff I
-The candidate must possess a master's degree already or is expecting to receive one before the date of employment.
-Have experience working with machine-learning or deep-learning related projects.
-Publications in machine-learning conferences is a plus, but not necessary.
-Must be proactive, cooperative, flexible, and able to respond according to the circumstances.
-Must also have good communication skills and be able to cooperate with the relevant personnel within/outside of the laboratory in order to fulfill his/her tasks.
