The Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, the University of Tokyo, has a long-standing history in studying the origin and nature of cosmic rays and astroparticle physics. We are seeking a candidate who will belong to the High Energy Cosmic Ray Division and lead experimental research on exploring the origin of highest energy cosmic rays.

The successful applicant shall take a leading role in the operation and maintenance of the Telescope Array (TA) observatory and its extensions in Utah in USA as well as the observational research. We also expect the appointee to make a core contribution in formulating the future plan in the High Energy Cosmic Ray Research Division. The successful candidate is expected to be fluent enough in Japanese.

Compensation

Compensation: Basic Salary is defined in the University employment law. The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT and employment insurance.

[Overtime hours, rest periods, discretionary labor system, holidays, various insurances (social insurance, labor insurance), various systems (pay increase system, bonuses, transportation expenses, retirement allowances), the type of agreement with the applicant when not hiring, etc.]
Working Hours: Discretionary labor system, based on 7 hours, 45 minutes per day, or 38 hours 45 minutes per week.
Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese National Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
