Qualifications

1. Ph.D. in English language education or in a related field, or equivalent
One is not allowed to be registered as a student at the time of taking up the post on April 1, 2022.
2. More than three publications in a related field
3. L1 speaker of English, or equivalent
4. Ability to design and develop the curriculum for the department's English language education, coordinate the English language program and liaise with part-time English-speaking instructors
5. Sufficient Japanese language ability for work within the university is preferred.
6. Sufficient knowledge of American culture to teach an undergraduate seminar on some aspect of it

Compensation

Contract: Tenured position
Salary: in accordance with the university regulations

Retirement age: seventy (the year in which one is seventy years old on March 31)

2. A list of research achievements by type, e.g., books, book chapters, articles (mark as refereed or non-refeered, single author or co-author), invited talks, conference papers (mark as invited, oral or poster presentation) and others
3. Copies of three major publications
4. 300-word summaries of the above three publications
5. An essay in English (one A4-size sheet) summarizing your English language teaching innovations and initiatives (e.g., curriculum design, CLIL) at your current and/or past institutions and your proposed ideas for the position you are applying for (Any expertise in teaching American culture should be mentioned here.)
6. Those who have passed the first-stage selection will be asked to provide the contact details of two referees.
