Job description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
We have been studying about perception mechanisms of humans, mainly audition, using various techniques; non-invasive neurophysiological measurements like MEG, EEG and other electrophysiological recordings, psychological measurements, physical measurements, and numerical simulations. Further, we are applying knowledge and information obtained in the basic research on the perception mechanisms to developments of medical and welfare devices, optimization of audio-visual environments, and evaluation and "sound design" of sound noises.

Research to elucidate human auditory mechanisms using psychometric and non-invasive neurophysiological measurements (e.g., electroencephalography). In particular, research to elucidate the relationships among stimulus characteristics, sensory, perceptual, and cognitive characteristics, and brain activities. Assistance with student education, management of research equipment, administrative work related to research, and attendance at laboratory meetings are also included.
