We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge and experience.
Knowledge and experience in postharvest biotechnology, genetics, breeding, and plant physiology

【Description of Job】
(1) Research: Advanced research to develop the technology to improve the storage quality of fruits and vegetables and expand exports, and basic research to understand the physiological phenomena of agricultural products on trees and after harvesting and during storage at the molecular level will be promoted in collaboration with related scientists, from the perspectives of horticulture and plant physiology, and using bioinformatics and AI technology.
(2) Education: Experimental practices such as " Applied Plant Science 1, 2, 3 (shared)", " Laboratory Biology (shared)", and other experimental practice, and guidance assistance on graduation thesis research, and guidance assistance on master's and doctoral students at the graduate school.

Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 7 million yen
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Assistant Professor 4,434,000-6.498,000yen
An annual salary system is applied.
The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours
Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
