Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Department of Earth and Space Science is seeking Associate and Assistant Professors to join the Theoretical Mineral Physics Group, who are motivated to conduct cutting-edge research aimed at understanding the structure, evolution, and dynamics of Earth and Planets.

We are seeking candidates who can lead research aimed at understanding the internal structure, evolution, and dynamics of the Earth and planets, using theoretical and computational approaches in materials science.
Prior research experience in Earth and planetary sciences is not required if the candidate has a strong research background in theoretical and computational materials science.
In addition to research, successful candidates will contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, and participate in the management and operation of the research group.
