Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    High-speed, highly reliable, and low-cost internet services are fundamental infrastructure for society. With the advancement of IoT and AI, all aspects of society are becoming interconnected and collaborating through the internet, which is expected to contribute to solving global challenges such as climate change, declining birthrates and aging populations, and food and energy issues (SDGs). The Graduate School of Integrated Health Sciences and the Department of Information, Electrical, and Mathematical Data Sciences in the Faculty of Engineering are actively promoting education and research in related areas such as communication protocols, cloud computing, and information security. In this call for applications, we seek candidates who can engage proactively in collaboration with the medical field as faculty members specializing in the field of Medical Information Networking, within the above-mentioned and related areas.

    (1)Education and research at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems: Each of the successful applicants is expected to conduct his/her own research and assist supervision of graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research.
    (2)Education and research at the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to conduct his/her own research and assist supervision of graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research.
    (3)Education at School of Engineering: Each of the successful applicants is expected to teach laboratory courses on computer science and assist supervision of undergraduate students in their research.

Working hours

    Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
