仕事内容・職務内容
The position requires a highly motivated mind toward innovative research and the ability to actively and autonomously conduct research in the targeted field. For those who do not hold a doctoral degree or are enrolled in a doctoral program at the time of appointment, NICT will, in principle, cover the costs necessary for obtaining a doctoral degree after joining.
Upon employment, you will be assigned to an appropriate research field where you will set milestones and research targets to clear within the 5-year term. Start-up funds are allocated in the first and second year of employment and can be used for research.
During the 5-year term, you may be given the opportunity to be evaluated by the executives and apply for a permanent position.

Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~
Basic Monthly Salary 485,000JPY (Starting salary for new master's graduates)
Basic Monthly Salary 541,000JPY (Starting salary for doctor graduates)
The following allowances will be permitted in addition to the above:
Dependent allowance…… Employees with dependent family members will receive; e.g., 13,000 JPY/month per child, etc.
Housing allowance…… Employees with rented accommodation will receive a maximum of 28,000 JPY/month.
Commuting allowance…… Employees will receive commuting costs a maximum of 150,000 JPY/month; e.g., the monthly commuter pass fee for public transportation.
In addition, overtime allowance, qualification allowance, special researcher allowance, special service allowance, and discretionary labor adjustment amount may be permitted for those that apply.
*The basic monthly salary will be determined considering your academic background, work and research experiences, and will be based on NICT's pay scale for the position.
*The basic monthly starting salary is an estimated amount as of April 1st, 2026.

Holidays : 1. Full-time, 5 days (average of 37.5 hours) a week.
2. A 'flextime' labor system is applied in principle.Annual Paid Leave 20 days (April 1st to March 31st) Available on an hourly basis
3. Other special paid leave can be granted.Telecommuting Program is available.
4. Childcare and nursing care leave are also granted.

選考内容
After careful document screening,and those who pass will be notified of the executive interview schedule on emails in late April.
Candidates will be called for an interview with the executives at the headquarters etc (final selections).
This will be the final selection stage and is scheduled in mid-May.
You can choose between Japanese and English as the language.
We will ask all interviewees to submit the following documents on My Page.
In principle, interviews will be conducted at the head office (Koganei City, Tokyo), but they can also be conducted online. The travel expenses for the interviews will not be reimbursed. -
