Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), one of the largest public research organizations in Japan, focuses on the creation and practical realization of technologies useful to Japanese industry and society.
    Leveraging the diversity and comprehensive capabilities of its 8 research fields, approximately 2,300 researchers across 12 research bases are conducting research and development from a central and pioneering position within the national innovation ecosystem, in response to changes in the innovation landscape and in accordance with national strategies formulated in light of these changes.
    Fixed-term research staff(Specially Appointed Position) is a specially appointed position to undertake externally funded research projects, e.g. NEDO, JST or private companies. The job holders are required to work exclusively on the project sponsored by the funding institution.
