    【Description of Job】Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology is seeking applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position who have research interests in Agricultural Chemistry, especially Chemistry of Bio-signaling. The successful candidate is expected to;
    - conduct active, internationally recognized, and externally funded research programs.
    - teach undergraduate level programs in the field of Agricultural Chemistry.
    - advise undergraduate and graduate students on their thesis projects.
    - engage in management and administration at Okayama University

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 7 million yen

    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Assistant Professor 4,702,000-6.708,000yen
    An annual salary system is applied.
    The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
    The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
    As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours

  • Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
