The Department of Information and Management Systems is seeking faculty members who possess a background in computer science, probability and statistics, or systems engineering, and who specialize in one of the following areas: mathematical optimization, industrial engineering, production management, quality control, human resource management, information security, or AI and data management.

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of Information and Management Systems Engineering including experiments, and seminars, along with related duties; advancing research in the above specialized fields; and providing educational and research guidance to undergraduate and graduate students.

Overtime and other explanations : By agreeing to apply the discretionary work system for specialized work, the employee is considered to have worked 7 hours and 45 minutes per day on a given workday. If the discretionary work system for specialized work is not applied, the employee will work from 8:30 to 17:15 five days a week (break 12:00 to 13:00), and may be ordered to work overtime.

Description
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (including prospective doctoral degree holders) and be enthusiastic about education and research in the above-mentioned professional fields.
The applicant must be willing to actively promote industry-academia collaboration, technical college collaboration, international exchange, long-term internships (dispatching and supervising students to domestic and overseas institutions), and education and research guidance for international students. Applicants must also be enthusiastic about taking on the challenge of interdisciplinary research that will have a social impact. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to achieve Japanese proficiency at the JLPT Level 1 (N1) standard during their term of service.
