Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    The Medical Bioengineering Section advances biotechnology for medical applications through multiscale research—from the molecular and cellular levels to whole organisms. Our mission is to drive innovation in the medical industry and cultivate the next generation of leaders. We are recruiting a Professor to lead our drug discovery and engineering research. Key areas of focus include biomolecular measurement, structure-based development of molecularly targeted drugs, and the engineering of advanced drug discovery platforms. In line with our graduate school's vision of "contributing to the well-being of people and society," we seek highly motivated individuals who can advance education and research through interdisciplinary, integrated science.

    (1)Education and research at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems: Each of the successful applicants conduct his/her own research and supervises graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research.
    (2)Education at School of Engineering Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology Programs: Each of the successful applicants is expected to teach laboratory courses and supervise undergraduate students in their research.

Working hours

  • Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
