Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University seeks a highly motivated individual who will play a central role in education and research in system software, including operating systems, or system security, which form the foundation of information systems. We also welcome applicants who are willing to actively engage in international exchange and industry-academia collaboration.

Work content and job description
(1)Education and research at the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: The successful applicant is expected to conduct his/her own research and assist supervision of graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research.
(2)Education at School of Engineering (Information Technology course, Information Technology Advanced Track): The successful applicant is expected to teach laboratory courses on computer science and assist supervision of undergraduate students in their research.

Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~ 7 million yen
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Assistant Professor 5,802,000-6,708,000yen, *Only for a person with PhD
Salary: An annual salary system is applied. The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1), and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
