    【Area of Expertise】

    【Description of Job】
    (1) Research: Candidates must be able to conduct cutting-edge research that utilizes AI, ICT, agricultural robots, and other technologies to improve the efficiency of food production and enhance the international competitiveness of agricultural products. Additionally, candidates must be able to collaborate with companies and research institutions to advance their research.
    (2) Education : The successful candidate is expected to supervise master’s and doctoral students in the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, and Natural Science and Technology; teaching courses such as “Instrumentation for Agricultural Environment”; and teaching courses in School of Agriculture, including “Introduction to Agricultural Robotics”, “Physics for Agricultural Environment” , “Fundamentals of Digital Agricultural Science (shared),” “Applied Biological Data Science (shared)”, and “Laboratory in Biological Production”, as well as supervising undergraduate thesis research.

Wages

  • Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 9 million yen

    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Associate Professor 7,058,000-8,246,000yen
    An annual salary system is applied.
    The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
    The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
    As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours

  • Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
