(1)Responsibilities
Responsible for teaching, research, entrance examinations, administrative support for the Faculty, and other duties as assigned by the Faculty Dean and/or the Department Chair.
(2)Teaching Responsibilities
Teach courses offered in the Intercultural Communication for Global Leadership (ICGL) course of the College of Intercultural Communication, such as Academic Skills, Cultural Exchange, College Life Planning, Advanced Seminars, Senior Research and Thesis, Courses in the Dual Language Pathway Program (DLP), and other courses in the Global Studies subfield.

Working hours include possible teaching periods, as follows: Period 1: 8:50–10:30; Period 2: 10:45–12:25; Period 3: 13:25–15:05; Period 4: 15:20–17:00; Period 5: 17:10–18:50.
Actual working hours depend on teaching schedules, meetings and other duties of faculty members.

Qualifications
(1)Applicants must be able to teach specialized courses in English and demonstrate a strong commitment to, and expertise in, research and teaching.
(2)Applicants should, in principle, have attained at least a Master degree in Global Studies, Intercultural Communication or a related field.
(3)Applicants must be able to teach courses in the Dual Language Pathway (DLP) and ICGL (PEACE) courses and contribute to curriculum management.
(4)Applicants whose native language is not Japanese must possess sufficient Japanese proficiency to carry out faculty administrative duties.

Selection / Notification of result
Selection
The application process comprises application review and an interview (including a teaching demonstration). Interviews (of around 30 minutes, in both English and Japanese) and teaching demonstrations (of around 15 minutes, in English) will be conducted on either Thursday 17 September 2026 or Saturday 19 September 2026. They will take place at Rikkyo University’s Ikebukuro campus, and, in principle, will be face-to-face. Online interviews will be considered only upon application.
*Transportation expenses for in-person interviews will not be paid.
Notification of result
Applicants will be invited for interviews by 9 September 2026 via email.
