募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明
Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University invites applications for the following position. We are looking for a person who will promote research on the development and functional evaluation of wood materials as structural components, and teach related subjects at undergraduate and graduate schools.

仕事内容・職務内容
(1) Lectures on "Introduction to Fire Safety of Timber Architecture" and "Introduction to CLT Architecture" in the Graduate School, and research instruction for master’s and doctoral students.
(2) Lectures on subjects related to architecture and civil engineering such as "Wood and Wood-Based Materials" in the Faculty of Engineering and instruction on graduation research.
* Lectures on mathematics, information engineering, and CAD may be assigned.
(3) Education and research in cooperation with local authorities and companies at a research facility to be established in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture.
* You may be assigned to a satellite laboratory to be established in Maniwa City.

Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 10 million yen
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : 7,102,000-9,376,000yen
The amount of salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, licenses and qualifications, work experience, etc. according to the National University Corporation Okayama University annual salary application staff salary rules.

Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : Discretionary labor system for professional work is applied. (Deemed working hours:7 hours and 45 minutes/day) Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)

説明
The candidate
(1) must have a doctoral degree (or Ph.D. degree) and sufficient achievements in the relevant field.
(2) is willing to teach students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in English.
(3) have sufficient ability and enthusiasm for administration and management, and be active in international exchange and industry-university cooperation activities.
(4) must have the Japanese language ability to perform his/her duties within the university, including student instruction.
