Division of EMC Design, Department of Information and Communication Systems, Faculty of Environment, Life and Natural Science, Okayama University is engaged in research and development of hardware implementation design of information and communication devices considering electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). We are seeking highly skilled and enthusiastic individuals with knowledge and research experience in basic engineering fields such as power engineering, communication engineering, measurement engineering, electronics, and artificial intelligence (AI), which will be useful for future design, as well as in education and research in the field of information and telecommunication systems. Knowledge and research achievements in hardware security (electromagnetic security) are also welcome. We are looking for candidates who will actively promote research projects, practical education at undergraduate and graduate levels, international exchange, and industry-academia collaboration in these related fields.

[Description of jobs]
(1) Education and Research at Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on areas of expertise, supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct own research.
(2) Education at School of Engineering: Each of the successful applicants is expected to take a charge of experiment classes related to information and communication systems as well as to assist professors to supervise undergraduate students in their research.
(3) Assistance of organizational management at Okayama University
(4) Education and research assistance in Japanese and English -

Annual Salary : 3 million yen ~
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Assistant Professor 3,938,000-6,390,000yen
An annual salary system is applied.
The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
