In April 2026, the Institute of Science Tokyo will launch a new multidisciplinary excellent graduate major in Super Smart Society that includes science, engineering, and medical/dental/nursing sciences, to foster and produce knowledge professionals who will practice new field creation (convergence science) by integrating different fields, aiming to realize a super smart society. We also aim to create new industries through convergence science by conducting socially collaborative education and interdisciplinary research through cooperation with industries via the Super Smart Society Promotion Consortium.

仕事内容・職務内容
We call for a management professor responsible for the management and operation of the above-mentioned new multidisciplinary excellent graduate major in Super Smart Society and the Super Smart Society Promotion Consortium. The post is primarily for management, with neither laboratory nor student assigned, but this does not preclude your education and/or research work.

Annual Salary : 8 million yen ~
The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under the Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.
● Annual salary examples (the amounts listed below are only examples provided in the regulations and do not directly refer to this specific position.)
・ Professor who has 15 years of work experience after completing a doctoral degree.
Standard: JPY 9,400,000
Minimum*: JPY 8,600,000
Maximum*: JPY 10,700,000
*The minimum and maximum amounts will vary depending on performance.

Working hours :08:30-17:15
Overtime and other explanations : De facto working hours* under the discretionary labor system for professional work: 7 hours 45 minutes per day (38 hours 45 minutes per week)
