Applications in nanobiotechnology and tribology technologies for achieving carbon neutrality
仕事内容・職務内容
1)To create devices for medical applications and promote the industrial application of environmentally harmonious tribology technologies through the science of surfaces and interfaces, focusing on thin films and nanomaterials within the field of materials science and processing.
2)To lead the device and materials fields at the Institute of Innovative Research and the Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology through research in the above-mentioned areas, while also managing various tasks related to the operation of the Institute, laboratory, and affiliated research groups.
3)To educate and supervise students in the Mechanical Engineering program within the School of Engineering, and to be responsible for related lectures, exercises, and experiments, as well as for administrative duties within the department and program.

Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 6 million yen
The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment, and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.
Annual salary examples (The amounts listed below are only examples provided in the regulations and do not directly refer to this specific position.)
Assistant professor hired immediately after completing a doctoral degree
Standard: JPY 5,000,000
Minimum*: JPY 4,800,000
Maximum*: JPY 5,600,000
*The minimum and maximum amounts will vary depending on performance.

Working hours :08:30-17:15
Break time :12:15-13:15
Overtime and other explanations :
De facto working hours* under the discretionary labor system for professional work:
7 hours 45 minutes per day (38 hours 45 minutes per week)

Ph.D. / Doctor
1) Applicants must hold a PhD, be near to completion of a PhD, or have equivalent experience in a relevant subject and have appropriate laboratory research experience.
2) Applicants should have a motivation to actively promote collaborative research with industry, in addition to conducting fundamental research.
3) Proficiency in conducting research and supervising students in English is required
