募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明
The Faculty of Engineering at Kyushu University is inviting applications from young faculty members with outstanding research capabilities in order to foster researchers who will boldly take up the challenges of recent social issues, such as the realization of a low-carbon society, and promote innovation. The Innovation Strategic Program is seeking three outstanding associate or assistant professors in three engineering fields: materials science, physics, and geo-environmental science, with one position in each field.
This call for applications is open to candidates working in the field of geo-environmental science (Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Earth Resources Engineering). -

Annual Salary : 6 million yen ~
The annual salary system, which was introduced on 1st of April 2020, will be applied. The annual salary is determined in accordance with the university's pay scale based on experience, etc.
The adove annual salary are general guidelines and may be less than the above annual salary in some cases. -
Assistant Professor level
Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~

Holidays : Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and the period from the 29th of December to the 3rd of January
Overtime and other explanations : Based on the discretionary labor system for professional work based by consent, it is regarded that working hours are 7 hours and 45 minutes irrespective of how much time the employee actually spends on his/her work.

(1)Doctoral. or Ph.D. degree at the time of appointment.
(2)Have sufficient teaching ability (including instruction and lectures in English) and enthusiasm for teaching and research in undergraduate and graduate doctoral programs.
(3)Have particularly outstanding research achievements in the above-mentioned specialized fields.
(4)The applicant should have the willingness and ability to actively engage in interdisciplinary research with other areas of specialization and the development of new research fields from a long-term perspective, in addition to the above-mentioned areas of specialization.
(5)Have the ability and enthusiasm to actively develop education and research activities from an international perspective and social cooperation with industry, government, etc.
