Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University promotes education and research in computer science. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who can play central roles in education and research in this field. We especially welcome those who actively promote practical education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The expected areas of expertise and interest include but are not limited to artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, big data processing, information systems, computer vision, media processing, algorithms, computer software, information security, and quantum computing.

[Description of jobs]
(1) Education and Research at Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on her areas of expertise, supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct her own research.
(2) Education at School of Engineering: Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on some topics of computer science, as well as supervise undergraduate students in their research.

Annual Salary : 7 million yen ~ 10 million yen
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Professor 7,102,000-9,376,000yen
An annual salary system is applied.
The amount of salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, licenses and qualifications, work experience, etc. according to the National University Corporation Okayama University annual salary application staff salary rules.

Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
