業務内容

  • 募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明

    Expertise in the following educational and research areas:
    - Advanced Horticultural Engineering, focusing on research that contributes to the realization of a smart society by comprehensively handling information from genes to individuals and populations, and broadly and deeply understanding plants and their growth environment.
    - Green Environment Systems, focusing on the elucidation of mechanisms, conservation techniques, and the creation or restoration of comfortable landscapes in undergraduate education.
    - Graduate education focusing on the development of advanced engineers and researchers capable of contributing to the revitalization of cities and regions in harmony with nature and the creation of a recycling society, through analysis, comprehensive evaluation, and technological development related to the green environment, in connection with issues such as landscape design and management and the use of green space for health and welfare.

  • 仕事内容・職務内容

    Desired qualities:
    - Ability to conduct research based on molecular biological techniques such as DNA/RNA metabarcoding and information science/statistical techniques such as machine learning and Bayesian statistics, and to explore new fields with a flexible mindset.
    - Ability to teach ecology and data science related to the green environment, and interest in global education that makes the Graduate School of Horticulture a base for landscape education.
    - While the main lectures will be conducted in Japanese, the ability to teach some subjects in English is also required.
    - Willingness to actively participate in university and other administrative operations.

    Holidays : Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and New Year's holidays
