    Department of Intelligent Mechanical Systems, Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University is inviting applications for the position of Associate Professor or Lecturer. Possible candidates are detailed below.

    We are seeking individuals with a distinguished track record in the research and development of hardware and software for physically embodied robotic agents operating in real-world environments. Candidates with experience in system integration and project leadership aimed at societal implementation are also highly encouraged to apply. Relevant areas of specialization include, but are not limited to, bio-inspired robotics, disaster response robotics, humanoid robots, uncrewed aerial vehicles (drones), swarm intelligence, physical intelligence, cognitive robotics, and medical and welfare technologies.

  • 仕事内容・職務内容

    The position involves teaching advanced mechanics experiments and other lectures at the School of Engineering. The incumbent will also assist with graduate research and lead research methods to master's and doctoral students. Depending on their expertise, they may also be required to teach liberal arts education courses and specialized education courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.

給与

    Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~

    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Associate Professor 6,758,000-7,980,000 yen
    Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Lecturer 5,852,000-7,426,000 yen
    The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
    The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
    As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

勤務時間

    Working hours :08:30-17:30

    Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)

    Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
