募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明
We are seeking for a highly motivated researcher to carry out research on exploring advanced engineering fields that will realize highly efficient use of electrical energy, such as power conversion system engineering, motor system engineering, control systems engineering, power systems engineering, and applied superconductivity engineering, etc. related to the SDGs. During conducting research, we would like you to positively collaborate with universities and research institutes both in Japan and overseas to open up new interdisciplinary research in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The applicant is also expected to patriciate in the educational activities at the undergraduate and graduate schools. We especially welcome those who actively promote international exchanges and industry-academia collaborations.

(1) Education and Research at Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: The successful applicant is expected to deliver lectures on areas of expertise, supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct own research.
(2) Education at School of Engineering: The successful applicant is expected to deliver lectures as well as supervise undergraduate students in their research.

Annual Salary : 6 million yen ~
Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary : Associate Professor 6,758,000-7,980,000yen
An annual salary system is applied.
The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1) , and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours :08:30-17:30
Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
