    The Department of Industrial Engineering and Economics, School of Engineering, Institute of Science Tokyo is seeking applicants for an assistant professor position"Finance(R7-23)" in the field of Finance: Corporate finance, Corporate governance, Valuation, Financial reporting, Financial accounting, and related areas.

    In addition to applying for this position, "Finance (R7-23)," we welcome concurrent applications for the other open position, "Finance (R7-22)," in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Economics.

給与

  • Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~ 8 million yen

    The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment, and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.

    Annual salary examples (including bonuses, etc.)

    Assistant professor hired immediately after completing a doctoral degree
    First year: JPY 5,920,000 (general example)
    Subsequent years:
    Minimum*: JPY 5,970,000
    Standard: JPY 6,650,000
    Maximum*: JPY 7,910,000
    *Minimum and maximum amounts may vary depending on performance evaluations.

    Important information:
    ・The amounts listed above are provided as examples based on Institute rules and do not directly refer to this specific position.
    ・Additional fixed allowances for commuting, housing, dependents, or other considerations may be provided separately to eligible candidates.
    ・The amount of the first payment of the Addition to Annual Salary and the Performance-Based Bonus may vary depending on the length of time between the employment start date and the payment date. If a candidate is transferring from another national university or organization, their period of service at the previous institution may be taken into consideration.

勤務時間

  • Working hours :08:30-17:15

    Break time :12:15-13:05

    Holidays : Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and the year-end/New Year period (December 29 – January 3)

    Overtime and other explanations : De facto working hours* under the discretionary labor system for professional work
    7 hours 45 minutes per day (38 hours 45 minutes per week)
    *Hours considered as working hours

    Applicants must have a doctoral degree or be expected to obtain the degree by the start of the employment in the area above or have equivalent experience in a relevant subject along with appropriate laboratory research experience.
