給与

• Wage per class Amount : 10000 yen ~ 12000 yen

  The salary will be about 25,000 to 30,000 yen per month (depending on experience and qualifications), and will be payable for six months, although teaching will only last about four months. This amounts to ¥150-180,000 per semester, and since there are 15 classes in the semester pay is roughly equivalent to ¥10,000-12,000 per class.

  Ph.D. / Doctor / Master / Others

  A PhD in a relevant area of legal or political studies is strongly preferred, but well-advanced doctoral candidates and practicing international lawyers who have an interest in teaching are also encouraged to apply.

• 業務における経験

  Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred but not essential.

• 特定分野の公的資格など

  The candidate should have native-speaker or near-native-speaker-level English communication skills.

• Nontenured - Non-tenure track

  The course is for one semester. (The spring semester goes from April 1 to the end of July, and fall semester goes from the third week of September to the end of January 2025.) This appointment is initially for one semester only, but there may be a possibility of renewal in AY2025.

  The course will be taught on the Totsuka Campus of Meiji Gakuin University.

  Transportation expenses : available. Travel expenses will be paid for a distance of up to 110 kilometers from the Totsuka campus.

  Applications are welcome from anywhere in the world. Interviews may be conducted online. However, please note that classes are scheduled to be held in person, not online, so there is no point applying unless you are absolutely sure to be living in the Kanto region of Japan in 2024.
