  Master

• 説明

  The applicant should:
  1.Hold a master's degree.
  2.Have majored in English language education or a related field.
  3.Have at least two years of experience teaching English to non-native English speakers at the university level.
  4.Have the ability to write questions for university entrance examinations.
  5.Have the ability to teach English (equivalent to a native or near-native English speaker).
  6.Be able to reside in Osaka or within close commuting distance after employment.

契約期間

• Nontenured - Non-tenure track

  The employment contract is for one year, with a possibility of renewal up to four times upon consultation and mutual agreement. However, the number of renewals may be restricted if the individual has previously held an employment contract with Kansai University before the start of a new contract.

  Classes will be taught at one or more of Kansai University's campuses.

  1.Cover letter
  •1–2 pages in English detailing how the applicant’s teaching experience and research achievements qualify them for the position.
  2.Curriculum Vitae in English (designated form)

  •In your work experience, please be sure to include the names of courses you have taught in the past five years, and whether you taught them full-time or part-time.
  •If you have experience writing entrance exam questions or assisting with study abroad programs, please indicate as such.
  3.Educational and Research Achievements in English (optional)
  •Please include the first and last pages and the total number of pages of each paper, book, or book chapter you have published.
  •Please list any fellowships (e.g., fellowships from the Japan Society for Promotion of Science) or competitive grants (e.g., Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research) you have received.
  •If you have received any academic awards in your field of expertise, please provide proof of such awards.
  4.Teaching philosophy
  •Please include a 300-word statement in English detailing the applicant’s perspective on teaching and how they apply that perspective to their teaching in practice.
  5.Two references
  •Please provide two reference letters – at least one letter must be external to Kansai University.

• 選考内容

  •Candidates will be notified of the results of the initial selection process on Tuesday, September 3 (tentative).
  •Short-listed candidates will be interviewed on Friday, September 13 or Saturday, September 14 (tentative). As part of the interview process, candidates will teach a mock lesson in English.
