  • 募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明

    Tokyo International University:
    Tokyo International University (TIU) offers undergraduate and graduate programs both in Japanese and English. The English track degree program, called E-Track and taught entirely in English, attracts students from all over the world as well as Japan. The curriculum of the E-Track Program enables students to cultivate a broad educational background and deepen their knowledge in specialized fields of Digital Business & Innovation, Business Economics, and International Relations.

  • 仕事内容・職務内容

    Content of work including Teaching:
    The teaching could involve undergraduate level. TIU operates on a semester basis and each course lesson is held twice per week over the duration of 14 weeks per semester (each lesson lasts for 100 minutes); the successful candidate will be in charge of one course per semester. All the classes will take place in TIU’s new campus in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The academic year is from April to March (of following year). Spring semester is from April to July, and Fall semester is from September to January. Fluency in English is required.
    Others:
    The candidate teaches twice a week and each class is 100 minutes. (Equivalent to 4 credits worth of 1 course subject.) Also, there is academic affairs related meeting once a month. (online, approximately 30 minutes.)

    Master

    •Master’s degree in relevant fields, or equivalent academic capability
    •Data Science Practitioner in a company, research institute or public organization, who is allowed by the primal institution to take dual employment status or to take cross-appointment status

    The positions:
    Qualified candidates are sought for a position to teach courses such as:
    Data Base and Big Data, Social Media and Business, Start-up Funding and VC Strategies, AI and Machine Learning and dynamic areas related to Social Media.

  • 説明

    Requirements: The position is open for Specially Appointed Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications. The candidate must have a Master’s degree in Marketing/Finance/Computer Science/Information Technology/Mathematics/Statistics/Business Management or related areas and be able to teach the courses stated above or related subjects in digital business and IT. Candidates must have a primal work outside of this position sought here. Some proven practical experience and/or research record.

    The evaluation of applicants will start in the middle of June, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Candidates should submit the following documents by Google Form.

    4) List of the course title and description that could be taught related to Digital Business and Data Science
