Job description

  • Background of the recruitment and description of the project

    The Faculty of Agriculture at Iwate University is planning to reorganize in April 2025. The new Department of Life Sciences will consist of the Molecular Life Functions Course and the Molecular Life Medical Sciences Course. The latter aims to elucidate life phenomena at the molecular level, from microorganisms to humans, applying this knowledge to solve food issues, improve health and hygiene, and prevent diseases, thereby enhancing the Quality of Life (QOL).

  • Work content and job description

    We are seeking a highly motivated researcher in the field of biological molecular chemistry, specifically in chemical communication and the chemical analysis of bioactive substances (women only). Responsibilities include lectures and practical exercises such as "Introduction to Life Sciences," "Molecular Life Medical Sciences Experiment," and "Molecular Life Medical Sciences Information I," along with some general education or foundational courses. Additionally, guidance of undergraduate and master's students is expected. After tenure is granted, the appointee will independently handle these courses and also teach graduate-level courses. If tasked with general education, the appointee will create on-demand content and video syllabi. The role also welcomes those capable of providing integrated education across undergraduate and graduate levels (master’s and doctoral programs over a five-year span).

    Date of new establishment : The Faculty of Agriculture in Iwate University plans to reorganize the Faculty in April 2025.
