    Teaching general education English and/or elective courses to undergraduate students at our Yokohama (Totsuka) campus from April 2025.

  • 仕事内容・職務内容

    Up to 3 classes/day are available from Tuesday to Friday from the time schedule below:
    Period 1 9:15-10:45
    Period 2 11:00-12:30
    Period 3 13:30-15:00
    Period 4 15:15-16:45
    Each semester consists of 15 weeks (classes, special study day, and examination inclusive). You are responsible for making up canceled classes. The maximum number of classes that can be assigned per semester is five (5).

    Salary ranges from 28,000 to 31,500 yen per course per month, based on number of years since degree completion.

    The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:
    1. MA in TESOL, TEFL or Applied Linguistics (or related areas)
    2. Expert user of English with an ability to conduct ELF classes in English for students with various levels of proficiency
    3. Experience teaching English in a Japanese university setting
    4. Record of publications/conference presentations in ELT and/or related areas
    5. Legal status to work part-time at a higher education institution
    6. Japanese language skills sufficient for basic administrative duties

    From among those who meet the eligibility requirements, the following (I), (II), and (III) requirements will be examined:
    (I) Those who have experience and enthusiasm for English language teaching at the university level.
    (II) Those who have a record of publications/conference presentations in ELT and/or related areas.
    (III) Those who hold legal status to work part-time at a higher education institution.

    Stage 1: Selection based on review of applications
    Stage 2: In-person or online interviews conducted in September/October. Candidates may be asked to teach a demo lesson.
