A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences/Buffett Cancer Center at UNMC to study rare cancers including ocular melanoma and MPNST. Our short-term research goal is to identify molecular pathways that can be therapeutically targeted to inhibit tumor growth and prevent metastasis. The long-term goal of the research is to unravel and manipulate the distinct molecular pathways governing tumorigenesis and metastasis so that novel therapeutic candidates can be identified for future drug development.

仕事内容・職務内容
The candidate should have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in biology or related areas with proven and productive previous research laboratory experience. The individual must have effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to changes in technological and scientific directions. Preferences will be given to the candidates who have prior research experience in tumor biology.
