  Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~ 9 million yen

  Commensurate with qualifications/experience by University of Aizu regulations
  Annual base salary including bonuses(*1, *2):
  •Full Professor（教授）: approx. 6,500,000 – 9,000,000 yen
  •Senior Associate Professor（上級准教授）: approx. 5,500,000 – 7,500,000 yen
  •Associate Professor（准教授）: approx. 5,000,000 – 7,000,000 yen
  (*1) Other allowances are paid in addition to the base salary
  (*2) Social security premiums, taxes, etc. will be deducted from the salary

  Ph.D. / Doctor

  Qualifications:
  1. Doctorate in hand (or proof of imminent completion)
  2. Native or near-native speaker of English
  3. Experience in teaching EFL; experience specifically in EFL for computer science, engineering, or science students in not necessary but will be viewed favorably
  4. Primary consideration will be the selection of a candidate with strength in English language teaching; knowledge/experience in the use of AI tools for language teaching/learning will be viewed favorably
  5. Scholarly publications and professional experience
  6. International experience (preferable for candidate to have lived, studied, or worked outside their native country; experience in Japan will be viewed favorably)

Successful applicants based on a document review will then be invited to an online interview via Zoom. Those applicants passing the Zoom interview will then be invited to the campus for a face-to-face presentation, model lesson, and interview.
