[Content of Work]
J. F. Oberlin University is searching for Adjunct instructors for English language courses (Eigo IA/IIA/IIIA/IVA, Eigo IB/IIB/IIIB/IVB, Elective Classes),
仕事内容・職務内容

These courses are required or elective courses for first year students and above in the College of Business
Management . The applicant is expected to teach two to four 100-minute sessions per week over the course of each 14-week semester. Classes are taught primarily in English.
[Work Location]
The courses are offered on JFOU's Shinjuku Campus (3-23-1 Hyakunin-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).
Approx. 2 part-time lecturers
April 1, 2025 (Term: One year with the possibility of renewal for subsequent years)

Wage per class Amount : 29400 yen ~ 32800 yen

The above amount is the monthly unit amount per class, and is paid equally over 6 months if one person teaches 14 classes per semester.

勤務時間

Working hours :08:50-18:30

Overtime and other explanations : Class Schedule: 1st Period 8.50-10.30, 2nd Period-10.40-12.20, 3rd Period-13.10-14.50, 4th Period-15.50-16.40, 5th Period-16.50-18.30. Working hours depend on the timetable.

応募に必要な学歴・学位

Master
説明

1) Master's degree in TESOL/TEFL/applied linguistics (Please provide a copy of the certificate).
2) EFL Teaching experience in Japanese colleges/universities (preferably three years or more).
3) The ability to work using standardized materials in a coordinated program and a willingness to attend staff orientation and faculty development meetings when necessary.
4) Comfortable with online learning platforms such as Moodle, Google Drive, as well as other web-based technologies.
5) Proficiency in Japanese is an advantage.
6) For non-native English speakers, ability to deliver classes in English is required.
7) Publications and/or presentations are preferable.
8) Understanding of J. F. Oberlin University's mission, based on Christianity, and educational philosophy and its Christian foundation.
