募集の背景、プロジェクトの説明
The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the creation of innovative gene therapy pipelines by conducting valuable in vivo studies and engaging in discussion with stakeholders including scientific and business perspectives. Research areas span multiple therapeutic areas including cardiac diseases, and expertise with cardiac models is desirable.

Candidate will work as a member of Exploratory Animal Studies unit of Discovery Bioscience in Gene Therapy Research and Technical Operations (GT-RTO), and will work in the laboratory in Tsukuba. -
仕事内容・職務内容
•Make research plan and implement in vivo evaluation in rodents (sometimes NHPs) for creating gene therapy product candidate in cooperation with Discovery Bioscience members and research project team members.
•Conduct in vitro bioanalysis evaluation including but not limited to qPCR, WB, ELISA
•Lead specific gene therapy project with other stakeholders and manage whole progress of project including works in Discovery Bioscience as divisional lead (DB Lead).
•Stay current with the latest information on biology, disease, gene therapy technology and competitors appropriately.
•Mentor and provide guidance to junior research scientist as needed.
•Engage in cross-functional communication and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
•Curate documentation and maintain detailed records of data processing procedures and results.
•Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate and reliable results. -

説明
【応募要件 / Qualifications】
•PhD in medicine, pharmacology, molecular biology, or other related fields.
•5+ years of experience in in vivo research including expertise in cardiac disease research and mouse models.
•No objection to conducting experiments on large animals such as NHPs.
•Experience of general in vitro work related to in vivo studies including cell culture, qPCR and immunohistochemistry.
•English and Japanese communication skill required for working in a global team.
•Ability to perform in a highly team-oriented environment, be self-driven, and possess good problem-solving skills.
•Ability to build strong relationship with co-workers of various backgrounds and expertise.
•Deep understanding about the importance of research ethics/compliance.
＜歓迎 / Preferred＞
•3+ years of PostDoc or beyond as Cardiac scientist with experience in evaluating animal models involving echocardiograms
•Experience working for gene therapies using Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV)
•Experience leading research project team in pharma or academia.
•Experience working with a multinational team of scientists.
•Experience working on neuromuscular, ophthalmology, and/or CNS research.

【給与 / Salary】
①基本給：当人の経歴・技術・技能等を考慮して決定
②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade)
