    Overview of Position:
    Since 1994, Temple University Beasley School of Law has offered a practical-based legal education at the Temple University, Japan Campus located in Tokyo. Temple Law is the only US law school accredited by the American Bar Association that operates year-round in Japan. Students have the opportunity to study in our spring semester study abroad program for US law school students. In this student-centered learning environment, Temple Law Japan professors create a space for students to learn, explore ideas, and support each other.

  • 仕事内容・職務内容

    Temple Law Japan is looking for a part-time Japanese Language Instructor during the spring 2025 semester (January 13-April 25) to teach the following:

    Beginner Japanese Language Course (non-credit)
    -This 5-week intensive course is intended to give students with little to no Japanese language ability, basic speaking and listening proficiency to live comfortably in Tokyo for the semester. This course also will focus on Japanese communications and cultural practices in business, including practice making self-introductions and job interviewing. *Textbook: Nihongo Breakthrough
    -Course Schedule: 5 weeks, January 13-February 14 (15 classes)
    -Dates: January 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29, 31; February 3, 5, 7,10, 12 and 14
    -Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
    -Time: 10:00 – 12:00

    Certificate, Masters or Ph.D. in Japanese Language Studies

  • 業務における経験

    -Certificate, Masters or Ph.D. in Japanese Language Studies, and 1+ years of teaching experience
    -Fluency in English required

    This position is only available to applicants who are eligible to work in Japan (the position does not include visa sponsorship).
