As the number of students who study abroad increased, I-Chat has been required more staff members to fulfil students' needs to advance their English proficiency levels.
仕事内容・職務内容
The job mainly consists of tutoring and conversation practice, but additional activities and duties include assisting students with English test preparation (mainly TOEIC, but occasionally Eiken and TOEFL), training outbound study abroad students with their pre-departure lessons, as well as planning, organizing, running, and promoting workshops and a variety of events. Creating a series of mini-lesson packet with a focus of listening, speaking, writing, or reading will be assigned during the break periods.

Annual Salary : 3 million yen ~

Working hours :09:00-17:00
Break time :12:30-13:30
Holidays : Sunday, National holidays, Anniversary of founding, Summer & Winter breaks, Some Saturdays(30 days in 2023).
Overtime and other explanations :
Open Campus (2 Sundays in 2024) is considered as a work day.
Working hours above may shift to 10:00-18:00 during semesters, and the lunch time may be flexible.

応募に必要な学歴・学位
Master / Bachelor
The field of education, language or English education are preferable.
業務における経験
Have experience working in Japan with understandings of Japanese culture, including a set of expected behaviors as a member of Japanese society, as well as being able to work with colleagues collaboratively or independently.
Have experience providing opportunities for cross-cultural exchanges to introduce and share one's own culture, language, etc. in a way that is appropriate for the participants.
Have experience improving students' English proficiency levels.
Have experience creating lesson plans and materials, in addition to planning and leading events.
特定分野の公的資格など
・CELTA, TESOL, or other English teaching certificate for university students.
・Excellent computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, etc.
・Native speaker of English or equivalent ability, regardless of nationality.

Osaka Gakuin University (OGU)is a medium-sized university (approximately 6000 students) focused mainly on Business, International Studies, and Foreign Languages. At the I-Chat Lounge, we run a facility which provides our students with the opportunity to interact and get tutoring from English speakers in a relaxed but authentic environment. As the number of students who participate in international exchanges and study abroad programs, more staff members are required to provide a variety of workshops and lessons.
