The Faculty of Foreign Language Studies at Kansai University is seeking applicants for the following position.

・Teaching 10 (90-minute) university-wide general English classes per week each term. Classes are scheduled from Monday to Saturday (at least one “research [non-teaching] day” will be scheduled).
・Teaching at least one “Kansai University Intensive Communication Camp” program during the university vacation periods.
・Attending weekly meetings, FD workshops, and guest speaker lectures.
・Conducting research into materials development and L2 education at the Faculty of Foreign Language Studies (FFLS).
・Writing questions for entrance examinations.
・Teaching additional courses and/or giving special lectures when required (honorariums provided).

Master
説明
The applicant should:
1. Hold a master's degree.
2. Have majored in English language education or a related field.
3. Have at least two years of experience teaching English to non-native English speakers at the university level.
4. Have the ability to write questions for university entrance examinations.
5. Have the ability to teach English (equivalent to a native or near-native English speaker).
6. Be able to reside in Osaka or within close commuting distance after employment.

The employment contract is for one year, with a possibility of renewal up to four times upon consultation and mutual agreement. However, the number of renewals may be restricted if the individual has previously held an employment contract with Kansai University before the start of a new contract.

選考内容
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed in person on Friday, September 12 or Saturday, September 13. As part of the interview process, candidates will teach a mock lesson in English.
