  - Those who have sufficient communication skills to carry out work in Japanese
  - Those who can contribute to achieving the mission of the Graduate School of Informatics by leading various interdisciplinary education and research projects at the Global Media Research Center
  - Those who are familiar with the field of media and communication research, such as international communication and political communication, and who can lead the field internationally, with a track record of carrying out joint research projects
  - Those who have enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility towards education at undergraduate and graduate schools, in a cooperative manner.
