We are recruiting a full-time lecturer to teach Listening & Speaking as follows.

We are looking for a full-time instructor to teach our Global English Programme, which aims to develop basic English communication skills and help students achieve TOEIC score targets appropriate to their level.

Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~
Salary will be paid in accordance with our university's salary regulations.
勤務時間
Working hours :08:50-17:30
Holidays : As a general rule, Saturdays and Sundays are off, although attendance may be required due to work circumstances (e.g., make-up classes are scheduled to take place on designated Saturdays).
Overtime and other explanations :
10 classes per week
A 20-minute break will be provided between classes(*4th period-5th preriod break is 10minute), with a one-hour break scheduled between the second and third periods from 12:40 to 13:40.
Actual working hours may vary from those stated above.
*Subject to organizational needs, the option for home-based research time may be available, provided it does not impede job responsibilities.

Master
Applicants should hold a master's degree or higher in one of the following fields: TESOL (applied linguistics), education, or linguistics.
説明
Applicants should understand our university's founding ideal of industry-academia collaboration (sangaku-ichinyo) and be familiar with university policies, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the institution. They should also embrace the university's mission and shared values, and be ready to take proactive steps to realize them.
Role-Specific Requirements:
1. Applicants must be residents of Japan.
2. Applicants should demonstrate alignment with the university's founding ideals and educational philosophy.
3. Applicants should show readiness to contribute to research aimed at enhancing the LERC English Program.
4. Applicants must be prepared to actively engage in language education and promotional events, such as Open Campus.
5. Applicants should possess teaching experience in English at a university or other higher education institution. Experience with TOEIC, TOEFL, or IELTS is preferred.
6. Applicants should be willing to contribute to the development of curricula, classroom materials, tests, e-learning content, and related resources.
7. Applicants must be prepared to teach various courses, including TOEIC prep, community extension courses, weekend English classes for children, and short-term intensive courses.
8. Applicants should be native English speakers or meet the following English proficiency criteria:
a. A TOEFL (iBT) score of 102 or higher (Speaking: 25-27; Listening: 25+; Writing: 25+; Reading: 25+)
b. An IELTS score of 7.0 or higher
9. The following additional skills are desirable, but not mandatory:
a. Research experience related to L2 listening, speaking, reading, or writing
b. Proficiency in Japanese language
c. Experience with educational technology (e.g., learning management systems such as Moodle)

The contract may be renewed for a maximum period of ten years. Lecturers will undergo contract extension evaluations every three years to determine their employment status for the subsequent term of employment.

Transportation expenses :
If the commuting distance is 2 km or more one way, and the employee opts for paid transportation (including private cars), they will receive reimbursement equivalent to the cost of the most economical 6-month public transportation pass.
The reimbursement will cover the full amount up to ¥45,000 per month, with any excess amount over ¥45,000 being reimbursed at 50%. However, the maximum total reimbursement amount is capped at ¥50,000 per month.
