  加速器部門に所属するテニュアトラック研究員を以下の要項で募集します。

• 仕事内容・職務内容

  SPring-8は、「SPring-8」と「SACLA」と呼ばれる２つの大型放射光発生装置を有し、アカデミアから産業界に至る幅広い分野のユーザーに世界最高レベル（輝度、安定度、etc.）の光（X線）を提供する研究基盤となっています。
  この光の発生源である電子加速器は、ビーム物理、電磁気、および様々な工学等に基づいて設計・運転され、超高真空システム、多種多様な磁石群、電子を加速する高周波システム、電子や光を高精度に計測・解析する各種モニター、ユーザーのニーズに応じて多様な光を生成させる挿入光源装置、加速器運転のための計算機システム（ソフトウェア、エッジコンピューティング、データ基盤）、安全のためのインターロックシステムなど、多くの最先端技術・知見の集合体となっています。
  そのため、加速器部門は様々なグループ／チームから構成されており（詳細は、以下の加速器部門ホームページを参照してください。）、各人はいずれかのチームに所属しながら、部門全体として光源加速器の維持管理・高性能化を担い、次世代を見据えた新たな光源加速器の開発も行なっています。
  今回は特に、以下に示すような人材（例）をはじめ、次世代加速器を担う若い世代を広く募集します。
  ・ビーム物理に基づく理論、シミュレーション計算、解析を行い、加速器の設計、運転を担う人
  ・電子や光を高精度に計測、解析する各種モニター類、ビームフィードバックシステムの開発、維持管理を担う人
  ・高精度デジタル制御電源や制御システムの開発、維持管理を担う人
  ・ソフトウェアフレームワーク、各種基盤計算機、インタロックシステム等の開発、維持管理を担う人（AI活用を見据えたシステム設計・開発を含む。）
  上記の他に、超高真空、挿入光源、高周波、磁石等、全てのグループ／チームが人材を募集します。着任時に上記のような加速器の知識を有している必要はなく、着任後、所属チームにて他のスタッフと一緒に仕事をしながら学んでいきます。

  The successful candidate will teach four eight-week-long courses in the Master’s program per academic year, distributed across the three terms (fall, winter, and spring). In addition, the candidate will supervise graduate research projects (master’s thesis or research reports) and serve on the PhD supervisory committee throughout an academic year once eligible. One overseas business trip per academic year may be required.

  SPring-8加速器の維持管理、高度化のため、以下のいずれかを担当する研究員（技術担当）を募集します。

• 仕事内容・職務内容

  1.真空系技術者
  加速器を構成する真空システム（チェンバー、バルブ、アブソーバ、ポンプ、制御等）の維持管理、高度化、次世代加速器のための設計等を担当
  
  2.電気電子系技術者（電源担当）
  加速器で使用する電磁石、高周波装置用電源の維持管理、高度化、次世代加速器のための設計等を担当
  
  3.機械構造系技術者
  加速器を構成する真空、磁石、挿入光源等の装置のための機械設計、維持管理、現場作業等を担当
  
  4.ネットワーク系技術者
  加速器用ネットワーク（ハードウェア、ソフトウェア）の維持管理、高度化、次世代加速器のためのネットワーク構築等を担当

  SPring-8加速器の運転、維持管理、高度化、および次世代光源加速器開発を行います。

• 仕事内容・職務内容

  1.軌道解析チーム
  加速器のラティス、ビームダイナミクス解析等を担いながら、加速器運転、コミッショニング、および次世代加速器設計等を行う。
  
  2.モニターチーム
  現SPring-8加速器電子ビームモニター、光モニター等の維持管理・高度化業務を行いながら、次世代加速器のための各種モニター設計・製作・開発を行う。
  
  3.真空チーム
  現SPring-8加速器における各種真空装置の維持管理・高度化業務を行いながら、次世代加速器のための真空システムのトータル設計、要素開発、製作を行う。
  
  4.磁石チーム
  現SPring-8加速器の電磁石、電源等の維持管理・高度化業務を行いながら、次世代加速器開発に向け様々な種類の永久磁石、電磁石、電源群の設計、開発、製作を行う
  
  5.高周波チーム
  　現SPring-8加速器における高周波装置の維持管理・高度化業務を行いながら、次世代加速器で将来取り入れる予定である各種高周波機器の開発・設計を行う。
  
  6.挿入光源グループ
  現SPring-8加速器における挿入光源（アンジュレータ等）の維持管理を行いながら、次世代光源に向けて計画的に行う様々な挿入光源開発、設計、製作、更にはSACLAの高度化・将来計画を見据えた斬新、且つ先駆的な開発に従事する。
  
  7.加速器制御グループ（機器制御チーム、インターロックチーム）
  加速器機器を制御するシステム、およびインターロックシステムの維持管理を行いながら、次世代光源における加速器制御システム、インターロックシステムの構築に従事する。

  The position:
  A qualified candidate is sought for a position, with concentration areas as follows:
  
  Cultural Studies and Japanese Popular Culture
  
  Requirements: The position is open for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications. The candidate must have a PhD in Cultural Studies, International Relations, Political Science or related disciplines and be able to teach courses such as Japanese Popular Culture and Issues in Popular Culture in the Culture and Society concentration of the E-Track International Relations major. Candidates should have some teaching experience and a proven track record of research
  
  Starting date: September 1, 2025
  Candidates with a proven track record will have to provide evidence of recent and expected publications. Recent PhD graduates and ones expecting to graduate before September 2025 are encouraged to apply. Successful candidate will be offered either a tenured or tenure-track position depending on qualifications. • 仕事内容・職務内容

  Content of work including Teaching:
  
  The teaching could involve both undergraduate and graduate levels. TIU operates on a semester basis and each course lesson is held twice per week over the duration of 14 weeks per semester (each lesson lasts for 100 minutes); the successful candidate will be in charge of three courses per semester. All the classes will take place in TIU’s new campus in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The exception is the basic courses offered for the first-year first-semester students, which are offered in TIU’s Kawagoe Campus in Saitama. The academic year is from April to March (of following year). Spring semester is from April to July, and Fall semester is from September to January.
  
  Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Japanese would be an asset. Responsibilities include advising and working with students from diverse backgrounds as well as undertaking quality research.
