-A doctoral degree by the time of appointment.
-Excellent research and educational achievements in the field of specialization.
-Ability to supervise undergraduate and graduate-level research in fields relevant to the university.
-Enthusiastic about faculty development and research-informed education.
-Enthusiastic about university-wide basic education (English, mathematics, programming) and support for extra-curricular education (such as duties at the Meta-Learning Laboratory).
-Willingness to contribute to the duties prescribed by the university (administrative tasks, preparation and supervision of entrance exams)
-Ability to communicate in English and Japanese
